Its the day of the month that officially announce my age growth.. If i have a choice... i would wanna stay as a child... growing up eventually brings you lotsa things to ponder upon... And I've just stepped into another stage of my life... which is the work world... I'm currently member of a small family named Megan Nathaneal..

Back to my birthday.. the 1st celebration was a surprise celebration a week earlier with my buddies... then on the day itself, the people in MeganAds got me a bday cake shared with a colleague of mine which his bday is just 2 days away.. Later in the evening, had dinner & movie with another best mate yy... and just before my bday ends... i got home n find myself a set of custom order cupcakes from cheyyi... all the cupcake decos are my fav things... so sweet of her... i love cupcakes... n its actually my 1st time receiving cupcakes instead of buying em myself..

Despite all that's happening to me now... from sicknesses to heartbreaks.. all those bits of sweets and celebrations did cheer me up n works are good at keeping me busy.. i still smile during the day n cry myself to sleep sometimes.. But i'll be fine... as long as i'm still breathing... =]

I was just complaining about the late postman this afternoon.. the next thing i knew my door bell rang.. i knew instantly it would be 'that' parcel.. =) and guess what i received? its a cute bear that reminds me and everyone out there that there will always be someone who loves you no matter what.. so feel loved people.. and i named it '小灰'... hee..

I saw something like this once in Jusco when i was studying in KL. Its the combination of donuts and cake making set. It was about rm80 back then... wanted it so much but decided to save the money. Later on when i decided to get a box for myself... it's no where to be found... =(

CNY's coming... deco mood is here... came across that wall sticker design at the night market near my house... it was only Rm2 so i decided to get one and see what i can do with it...

Then i realized that i need branches for the flowers.. wanted to paint them... but doubted as i'll need to repaint my wall if i'm gonna remove it someday... after some consideration... i remembered i have lots of ribbons left from my diy project... so got the brown ribbons to assemble the branches and tadaaa! it may be ugly.. but who cares.. haha!

Got the free passes from my housemate cos she couldn't make it. Has something else to do. So lucky got the chance. It was on the day where my took 1st exam paper and rushed my final year project sleeplessly. However, i needed a break... i needed some relaxation... cos the rubber band in me almost break.

The event was a fast one, started almost an hour late from the time stated which is 7 and ended round 10 plus. It was just the introduction of bachelors, playing games with them and some performances. I wasn't able to take many nice pics cos the position where i stood is the little low corner beside the bar. Pics above was all i could get. I'm not gonna comment about the bachelors as i didn't follow the updates so i don't know who are they. Just went for mere entertainment purpose. =)

After that the four of us proceed to supper and when i got back, there was still tonnes of work to be done. But at least I have a few hours to chill out. I'm glad i went.

p/s: I've already hand up my FYP. HoooOOOOORAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! =D

and i'm done with 2 exam papers. one last one to go.

There is this 'Too Hot to Handle' event held at Ministry Of Sound, Euphoria last Saturday... got to know about it through event invitations in fb from Leann.. so we head down to Sunway Pyramid after class to catch ourselves some goodie bags, fashion shows, free cocktails and free gifts... not forgetting the M.O.S ladies vip cards!

Saw so many things i wanted from the bazaar... from necklace, instand fuji camera to tops and dresses.... aww... wish i have the money... oh well, i gotta save $$$ for my future tripsS with my loved oneS! so guess i gotta sacrifice some pretty clothes now... =)

Follow up from my previous post about the Hot Air Balloon, pics above are the other two places we went after leaving Putrajaya..

Due to the hot hair balloon shooting, we were late for the famous Klang bah kut teh somewhere under the bridge... Therefore, we were forced to go to the other bah kut teh nearby... but then... the bkt they serve there was not nice + exp... no next time... none of us could ask for extra rice... so we decided to go for another round of bkt to fultill our aim of the day.. the 2nd one was better.. at least we can order side dish and the claypot has more types of ingredients in it...

Around 6.. we moved on to I-city, Shah Alam.. everyone was saying how beautiful that place is... so there we go.. beautiful indeed... with lights and all... but its like.. alot of energy cosuming? You can see it from my pics above... we spent our time ss-ing there from sunset til 9pm... imagine.. haha!

Guess the title says it all... so.. yep.. i went there with my classmates for some photo shooting. It was an annual event which will be held for several days... This year its from 18th til 21st of March... i didn't make it last year, luckily i had the opportunity this time...

We went there on the 1st day itself, had fun, SS-ed n jumped alot.. it was a full day outing.. we continued the day to Klang for Bah Kut Teh, then to Jusco for a boring movie (not gonna mention the title of the movie.. =P), then to I-City Shah Alam for another SS session and then to Yuen Steamboat at last for a satisfying and FULL dinner.

Reached home nearly 12 i guess... it was tiring... but it was fun... though things happened in between the plan... but we still gotta appreciate the opportunity to get together like that isn't it..

We went to Garden Lifestyle Store & Cafe for dinner the other day. I've wanted to try the cafe out and finally i was there. Yes, i love the menu... Cos every page has a graphic of a cat with beautiful flowers. ^^

The cafe is fully decorated with its obvious garden theme as u can c from the pics above. Something similar with FullHouse Lifestyle Store and Restaurant. Another thing that caught me was their white grand piano. awww...

They are opening another cafe at The Curve soon. But the food are not bad i would say, i love the red apple sorbet though. Nevertheless the environment too... A yes for another visit... wanna try those lovely cakes.... =)

Once in a while skptians gathers, and this time we went for a nice proper dinner instead of the usual steamboat. Not many, but still a group of us who once went to same primary school together.

Dinner was at Salsas Restaurant. Shellin was the main reason we went there for dinner. =) Its where she works currently. After dinner we proceed to Djoint Cafe & Bar for some drinks and chats. Both the places are located at Upper Penang Road.

People do change, what we can do is to remember the past, accept the present and look forward to the future.

Anyone watched the drama 'Little Nyonya' from S'pore?
Ever since then i got attracted to their cultures and i just realize that all the kuihs i've been eating since young are nyonya kuihs. haha.

I've been wanting to go to Melaka to visit those peranakan mansions. Never did i know that we have one in Penang until yokemun told me about it.

There we go, to the Peranakan Mansion Penang which is located somewhere around Church Street. We spent 4 hours at the mansion although the tour should only take a maximum of an hour? Most of the tour guides can recognize the 3 of us to the extend that one of the elder one came to me and said "hey miss photographer, u've been here for the WHOLE day!" XD

Finally, i've decided to steal some time here in my office to update my blog! oh well, i have to wait for the pictures to load in order to be able to browse thru them properly right... so don't scold me... don't nag me...^^

Ok, this was like 3 weeks ago when 3 girls who've never went out together since they knew each other during secondary yearsSS ago, went out for lunch at the Curve... haha... so here it is... we decided to have lunch and hang out together once in a while like this... and we chosed the.apartment to pamper ourselves and also to try out the restaurant as well...

Conclusion... maincourse was so-so... not really worth the price... but the dessert is mouth-watering, pampering indeed and sweet! worth it! so we agreed that maybe next time we'll just head there for their dessert... =) dessert makes me happy!

After lunch... we went ahead shopping for groceries... it just feels... nice.. happy that it was a successful outing with the girls... once in a while u should just get back with some old friends and spend some time together... its wonderful... haha...

Back to A Cut Above's hairshow the other day, after the whole catwalk & photography session with Esther ended, we fled to NEWAY to satisfy our crave to sing. So there goes the money and the voice... but we earned ourselves some SS pics above... teeheee... =D

It was the 1st time the 3 of us actually went singing together by ourselves n also the 1st time listening to Lindy sing! (she was always too shy to sing in front of others when we go in a larger group) Altogether it was fun and we ended up reaching home around 4am! lol... well... the next day we need not work... so no harm! weeEE~!

yes... its all about hair... last Friday the graduates from A cut Above finally gained their portfolios along with a hair show event hosted in Republic Cafe Bar located at Sunway Pyramid. I guess, this marks either the beginning or the end of their journey as a hair stylist.

The reason for me to blog about this is not about any hairstylists, its just because of Esther. A friend of mine which participated as one of their hair models. And we were there practically for support and photographs i would say (though we were a lil late that we missed your solo walk). soreee...

The hair stylists' creation were Real fantasy hair i would say. Those that make people go 'wow!', 'eeew' or 'omg!'. Those that you will only see in a hair show. This time (i don't know about the past though), all of their clothings were made from papers. All sort of papers. So at the end of the show, u'll find pieces or balls of papers on the floor. Haha!

Finally i'm stealing some time in office to post a lil short post over here as my blog is kinda dead for sometime? though i'm rushing home..... but i stil wan to post something here... so here goes...

many things happen from the time i went back to my hometown which is Penang. And there i spent my 22nd birthday... nothing special though.... can say as i didn't celebrate it... but a friend came along insisted that we go out for my bday n there would be surprise prepared for me... well... it was a cake though.. from Ritz Penang. A nice cake shop with delicious cakes! but too bad it wasn't the right time... i'm on diet! omg.... so sad that i could only steal a piece of that cake and that's all... no more cakes... continue diet!! okay okay.... next... b4 my birthday actually ends at 12am on 23rd of MAy... i went out with some friends... n i even gave present to other when it was my birthday itself... haha... well... one of em was someone special... someone i haven't been seeing for such a long time... i miss her... i really did....

and NOW.... my intern started... since monday... and both my desktop and lappy are hospitalized.. so i couldn't even online at home... what more to say to update my blog at home... so here i am in BluInc where i do my intern... staying back not doing work but stealing some time to blog... what an intern.. haha... but its over my working hour already.. so... not wrong i guess? haha.. well.... working here is kinda nice so far.... but kinda tired at times.... been working OT since the 1st day... and tmr's off day... cos its weekend... so i'll be back here again on monday... till then.... will update again soon... bye!

Last few days, we went for a photo shooting outing at Penang's Butterfly Farm. And there we go, 5 of us... all from SKPT... and our dress code is white... whites are closer to nature... nice and pure isnt it.. haha.. i know i'm crapping over here... okay okay.. serious here... well... the fees are 20 for adult and 10 for children... 50% for MYKAD holder though... oh ya.. they charge for camera and video cam too... for further info just google up Penang's Butterfly Farm..

Well... it was my 1st time there... and early in the morning when we were getting ready to go there.. it rained!!! a heavy rain summore... so i was thinking.. oh no, how can it be possible to see any butterfly if it rains.... but we still continued our journey.... and finally when we reach... the rain had already stopped... so we went in... and once i push the plastic covers away to enter... i saw the place in a whole.... the air..... it was filled with many many uncountable beautiful butterflies!!! it was awesome... never thought that we would still see so many butterflies though the floor is wet and drops of water are dripping from the plants... so there we go with our shooting activities...

Not forgetting.. the butterflies are too many that they would sit on people once in a while... 1st was my friend's shoulder... after a while, another one stand on my shoulder... and i left it there for as long as it likes... so that butterfly kinda follow me for some photos and walks... more than 10 mins i guess... then without my notice it flew away... haha... it was fun! all excited when a butterfly comes near us...

Version II

We (specifically consists of me, sk & ah mun oni) had a life of an artist... we experienced a full day schedule like those celebrities... haha... early morning 7am, we were awakened by calls to wash up and get our make up done... then we were drived to Penang Butterfly Farm for a photo shooting session at 9 am.. we experienced the bright sunshine and the air which is full of butterflies... Then we went for lunch.. and people were looking at us u know.. haha!

Then later in the afternoon we were headed to Red Box for a 3 hours mini concert... After the concert ends... we proceed to another indoor shooting where there were 2 themes that we gotta portray which is the cool&sexys and the colourful&happys... we barely have any time for dinner.. so we got some take away Big Apple donuts for dinner from our sponsors... i didnt eat any though... diet.. finally the shooting session ends at 10 pm and we were sent home 1 by 1... a full 14 hours of work from 8 am til 10pm... tiring but its fruitful... we got ourselves many nice photos... dats all for that day... =D

Sarah & Aiden...!!! i took a lot of their photos during the stay in my aunt's house.... hundreds of em... as usual... children are fun, naive and also naughty at times... n i were half the baby sitter during the stay though they are quite shy towards me... several mornings and nights i was awaken but their cries... but i also learnt and experience a lot... it was fun though...

and i'm glad i went there to spend sometime with my aunt and her families with the kids... once in a while.. u've gotta spend sometime with ppl outside your usual circle... its nice.... =)

well, the title says it all... i didn't know it until the German measle attack 2 months back.. as usual i went to the clinic for consultation... and it was the 1st time i had a blood pressure test.. the nurse was surprised telling me "eh, y your bp so low?" then she didn't bother about that anymore... so do i... haha...

i was curious so i asked friends around whether is dere any harm or symptoms of low bp.. i wanted to test it again.. n chance came when i went to stay at my aunt's house for few days in between the break until the next exam paper which is tmr... i knew she had a digital bp tester... so i went on ahead n test it...

tadaaaa~ the result is in the pic above... haha... stil low huh... now i know y i got dizzy sumtimes...

This time... i think its the 1st time i actually post up what i did for assignment purpose... Its for Digital Imaging subject where we were required to edit photographs to 'express a more fantasy idea' as written in the brief.. haha..

And i used my own photo to do it... Whether its the difficulty of finding a model to shoot at that time or its my self-obsession-ness... u name it.. lol..

once in a month there will be some charity. This time, nasi lemak and a packet of angpow were distributed to each of the beggars. U can see how long the queue is from the pic.

Pigeons. There used to be many many of them. And i remember my childhood memory where i would run across the crowd of birds and they would all flew away. haha!

During 30th of Dec, i was at Penang back then, and i've decided to go to the famous tourist spot in my hometown to take some pics after dropping my mum to work at 10am... so this is the place... Penang's Kuan Ying Temple... the last time i went was when i was younger and always accompanied by my mum... and this time... i went there alone... like a tourist.. with a dslr... so as expected... the uncles (beggars hanging around the place) will treat u like a tourist... and there came a very friendly uncle (not sure whether he's one of the beggars or worker.. haha) saying "hey... are you a tourist or a penangite? wanna take pictures? Go la can go in dun worry..." lol... of course i answered that i am local n quickly disappear from his view...

And there i went in... snap snap snap... most of the people inside dont bother bout me... guess they were used to the tourist-snapping-pics habit... it didn't felt so awkward as i'm free to snap as much as i want! ^^ so i walk in and out of the temple... and then went in again... explored every little things inside... but i cant read chinese though...

After snapping all i wanted... i've decided to pray... so i got myself a set of praying materials which consists of a bunch of josticks, two candles and a thin stack of joss paper... though i cant really remember the sequence to put the josticks on the burner... but i can roughly remember from all the times i followed my mum to the temples and by observing the aunts around... so i went outside to get started with the 1st jostick... haha... then came the uncle again... this time he saw me with those josticks and he asked "U know how to pray or not? yalo correct lo follow the biggest burner 1st then outside to inside..." so i gave him a nod and a smile and escaped again... haha...

Then finally i finished all the snapping and praying... time to go home... and its lunch time already... so i spent quite some time around the temple... an hour plus... nice experience though... felt kinda holy that noon... haha!

Following from the earlier post about cny with Lileng, this was the reunion i mentioned earlier... the 4th/5th reunion of skpt 1994 batch i guess... and as usual... around 10 of us will get together... eat and then proceed sumwhere for a drink! this time... other than the usual steamboat... we went western! n we chosed JL Gourmet restaurant in Prangin Mall, Penang for our reunion dinner... Pics above were those food and drinks we ordered... Overall of the food was quite good.

So that concludes the reunions i had with frens during new year 2009. =)

Its the 5th day of cny.... and again i was with my primary buddies... that day was special! we FINALLY got our long lost friend to appear in front of our eyes for a little meet up session at mua house.... that's lileng... my dear friend which i've not seen since STPM exam until this year's new year... its always so hard to get her out... n after much of scolding and nagging and begging... finally we get to see her this year....

and that was bcos actually we were goin to have a primary schoolmate reunion on that night... but she coudnt make it at night... so we kinda 'forced' her to my house for a little while in the evening bfore we proceed to the reunion dinner with the others...

Again its during the Chinese new year 09, a reunion dinner with the sggs girls of the 2004 batch on the 4th day of cny... after several mini reunions that we had earlier... this time was a surprise... many of us appeared together... there were a total of 22 of us there... at least.. this time... its considered a small reunion...

It was a great dinner... Spending time updating each other and chit chatting... then after dinner most of us still wanted to spend more time together... so we proceed to New World Park our usual Starbucks cafe to do more chit chatting... too bad Starbucks were full at that time.. and we couldnt find another suitable cafe for us to hang around due to number of us... then suddenly sumone suggested that we join the elders at the kopitiam area where elder couples do some ballroom dancing... and there we go... following aunty and uncle doing cha cha and twist twist.... it was fun! but other dance like waltz or tango or salsa were too hard for us... haha!

so... we stayed there chatting, ss-ing, and dancing until we were satisfied to go home and end our reunion night... so that was a nice small reunion... hope there'll be a medium reunion in the future... cheers

Weee~ Its the first time i actually blog about something on the day itself despite so many many many things in queue that i need to post up.... but today's special... its Valentine's day! Though i might not have the significant someone to celebrate with.... its just alright... pampering n making myself happy is something i love to do.... =)

Class went on as usual and we had our presentations for our short film today.. it ended accompanied by the word 'bravo' n lotsa comments on the mistakes.... what is that huh.... ask June...

so... we(me & cmei) proceed to 1U unexpectedly due to the desperation of detergent... lol... so we might as well spend sometime pampering ourself for this celebration day... There we go having our late lunch and shop for a bit... Lastly, before we got home... we saw sum sort of valentine road show thingy... And from there we got ourselves some CupPaCakes from Wondermilk! It was a long time since i last update my blog... since before chinese new year 2009 i guess.... and i'm stil busy and packed.... and even worst now due to the assignment attack that i have to face... Once i went to A.I.M.S.T college with my mashimaro jimui.... the purpose was to accompany her to get her exam slip and shoot some ss pics.... so there we are... having fun at the empty football court in aimst... we didn't get to take much pics... cos it rained... so we gotta stop... but it was nice.... the laughters and smiles that were recorded... a happy one after so long we wanted to take pics together...

Blissful Bridal Show I

This was the opening of the show... They brought out the 1st model by uncovering the feather fans after a short dance. Featuring Nasha Aziz, one of our local female malay celebrity were one of the models for the bridal show. Her catwalks were special, rhythmic and brings out the mood of the background music.

This is the male model... i forgot his name... but he's adorable isnt he? haha...

The show started with traditional white wedding gowns featuring new trends of daring design from the Blissful Bridal Studio.

The show was followed by models wearing colourful and striking wedding gowns strutting down the runway.

Closing of the bridal show together with the studio manager,designer and assistant designer taking the last round on the runway to receive applause by the public.

I was lucky enough to have my second chance shooting the runway again... and this time there were only two photographers there which is me and the other guy from the bridal studio... it made me so nervous and embarrassed yet proud and excited at that time... what a mix... lol...

It was a two days bridal show from two selected bridal studios who were having their roadshow at Gurney Plaza, Penang during the beginning of December 2008. It was the 4th Bridal Fest as u can see from the poster/backdrop of the stage.

Well, the first day and first round of bridal show is from this bridal studio named Blissful. According to the mc, although their business just started few months ago... they are already working up quite fast to being popular as other trusted bridal studios with their brand new style and collection of wedding gown designs.

During my study week holiday, i went to this Lio'Z cafe at New World Park located in Penang to hangout with my friends and had a little mini surprise celebration for my buddy's 21st bday... Actually that was the 2nd time i went to that cafe already...

Pictures above are how the cafe looked like and its like Halo cafe where u can send up some songs for the singers to sing em for you... But on that night, we send up a total of 5 songs... but none of the songs are sang... they didn't even say why they didn't sing em... sigh... oh ya, they did sang a birthday song for my buddy thou... =.="

Following from the paragraph above, now comes to the food and beverage served at the cafe... Pictures above are those that we ordered that night.... they have both western and eastern food... But in overall for the food, i would rate them 6/10.... not so good...

Not forgetting the performance of the singers... i would rate them like below:
voice 6.5/10 (not bad)
appearance 4/10 (only jeans and casual T-shirt for both male & female singer)
service 4/10 (didn't sing those songs we send up)

But in conclusion, we had quite a fun time there as we enjoyed ourselves as if we were at home cos we sat at the place with cushion... its like we own the place cos there were not much customers at that time.. we snap pics like the other people were all invisible... Haha! that's what i like...

This pics were taken during the Japan Charity Fiesta & Bazaar on 9th of November 2008. This event was held at the grand ballroom of Hotel Nikko Kuala Lumpur near Ampang Park from 11am - 3pm. The admission fee was rm15 and it was organised by the Japan Club of Kuala Lumpur.

I had a wonderful time and experience snapping pics all around the ballroom and seeing all those handcrafted work from Japan especially their Japanese papercut doll and their famous origami. Other than japanese stuffs, there were some booths from other country like Indonesia, Thailand and our local country M'sia as the event's main purpose was for charityt.

U see, we were really serious at 1st.

Here comes the long delayed post on Canon Photomarathon 2008. Hahahaha... well, this event was on the 1st of November where its a whole day programme that involved shooting photos around the Berjaya Times Square area... Its divided to 2 different categories which is compact digital camera category and DSLR category... Canon users get to join for free while others gotta pay RM15 to join... We got a cap, polo-T, face towel, id strap, and a piece of cloth with Canon Photomarathon printed on it in the Canon goodie bag. Breakfast and Hi-tea are provided too.

Okay.. First, we started off from pit stop A which is the Berjaya Times Square at 8.15 am... we begin shooting things around us on the way walking to the 2nd pit stop which is pit stop B at Pavilion around 10-11am... then we continued shooting until pit stop C at Suria KLCC around 1-2pm where we took our lunch and rest before the shooting continues.... The thing is, one theme will be announce at every pit stop so the photos that we have to shoot is based on those 3 themes that we got at those 3 pit stops... The themes are, Metropolitan Indulgence, Mess in Rules, and Goes Green... (How to intepret those themes? ><") Lastly, we need to be back at Berjaya Times Square by 5pm to upload our photos...

Instead of being serious in the competition, we swayed to SS mode in the competition... In fact, we were in that mode right from the beginning of the competition... It was Sunday, 20th Oct, where i went to the emergency festival at Annexe Gallery & Theater Studio to watch this film screening entitled 'Revolusi 48' by Fahmi Reza... a self thought graphic designer, documentary filmmaker and political activist. Well, the reason we went for this film screening is due to the reflection paper that we have to write for about 500-800 words... =.= but i did learn something new and valuable...

okay... enough bout the film screening... now goes to my pics.... it was a walk through the Central market when i took these pics.... and everywhere i go... ppl just come and say.. "sorry, no photography allowed." sigh... its as if i wanna do any harm to their stalls...

so... these are the pics that i manage to snap in the conditions below:

These are orchids which participated in the orchid competition held at Taiping Central last month. Among those participated and won are exhibited inside the mall. I actually bump into this orchid exhibition accidentally because at 1st me n my friends were planning to go to the mall just to see what's new b4 going to the Night Safari... so.. in the end i spend a lot of time shooting there instead of window shopping around... sorry to make u guys wait... ^^"
